Some dealers have minimum charges. Very common to book by the half hour, and there are definitely dealers that do an hour minimum. When I had my fan activated it took no more than five minutes to bring my bike in the shop hook it up change the setting and park the bike back out front. No charge. Varies by dealer

 

I like the dealer and haven't had any issues but hearing what people pay compared to what they quote me is frustrating. I know most is probably region based but I've called other dealers in the area and get totally different prices, I think I need to find a good independent shop.

 

I installed the thundermax fan. Took me about a half hour total. Dealer flashed when doing other work I planned it out that way. Otherwise my dealer charges $50.00. But if they are doing other work and have to hook up anyway they will just do it for me.
