Default Adding Fan to Oil Cooler

Someone here added a fan to the factory oil cooler on a M8 Street Glide, but I can remember who or find it using the search function. Anyone remember this? Maybe have a link saved?

Thanks for any help, the Vegas heat will be here soon.

Brandon Smith, formerly known as Lloyd Christmas has provided an excellent write up and pictorial..start at the end and work back a few pages

Thanks MJ, that second link is the one I was looking for.

Has it quit raining up there yet? Looked like most of King County was under water last week.

yeah, we had an extended soaker going on for awhile but got a few dry riding days in..crazy thing is I've got more miles on my bike so far this year than I did in September when I bought it because September set a record for the wettest on record, it's usually the best month of the year weather wise..been booking trips for the year..one in Southern Oregon and just this weekend got invited to ride to Sturgis for the 80th..been on my bucket list, wife has done it twice, so this is the year for me finally..long winded but all I'm thinking about is riding

Well, hope you dry out soon and get a bunch of miles in.

If my wife gets her way, we may end up in Sturgis too. She wanted to ride up with me last year, on her Sportster. Once I told her if she could fit all of her shoes on it she could go, she gave up and stayed home. Haha!

BTW, I was at the dealer today and a guy bought your bikes twin brother, that color is even better in person, I really liked it.

He can change his avatar all he wants, but he'll always be Loyd Christmas in our hearts.

Yeah that is the write-up you want - glad to help. Any questions, just shoot me message, pretty straightforward though.

Y'all are funny. I didn't know that it meant so much to you... I've gone ahead and changed it back to my actual picture, just for you

None of these fans are available in NV, so I ordered one and went for a 200 mile ride in mid 60* weather.

The fan arrived today, so I figured it wasn't going to install itself and I got on it. 10 minutes to remove the cooler, and 20 minutes with a 4" angle grinder with a flap disc to clean up the tabs and it's ready for paint that I discovered I don't have. Off to the store I go.........

Thanks to Loyd Christmas for the tips on this project
