Default tuner question

Hi was wondering i have 2019 114 street glide special and it had the SE pro tuner and stage1 flash. After warrenty is up i am going with a different tuner when i do my cams.Other tuners say you should go back to factory flash. Is there a way to get a hold of the stock flash without paying harley for the flash? If i can get the flash i would just get a cable and reflash it my self.Thx

what part does not make sense? if i go to vance and hines fuel pack they said you should put the factory flash back on the bike.Since harley flashed the bike for stage1 with SE pro tuner i wouldnt have a copy of the factory flash. When i hook up Se tuner all that would be there in the VCI is the Stage1 flash.I would not have a copy of the factory flash

I think whatever is on the bike when you switch to the FP3 (or PowerVision, etc...) would be suitable for the initial tune file that is saved as the original.

Thanks not sure if M8 is different but a bud on 2011 street glide went from SE pro tuner to Vance and Hines fuel pack and their tech support told him to flash the ECU back to factory. Not really sure but i guess i will find out when i go that route.

What doesnt make sense to me is that most tuners that are not ECM replacements are flash tuners. I would think you would start by flashing the base map for your setup (headers, mufflers, cams, etc), which can be supplied by the tuner company, overwriting the existing map, and you dyno tune from there.

so just curious and thinking out loud..is Stage 2 with as far as you plan to go? if so and you are just looking for some extra 'oomph', to keep things simple you could just install the SE447 Torque cam which from following here the majority that have done so feel like mission accomplished / good enough. you could just do the SEPST calibration, run auto tunes or have it dyno tuned and it should run great..but if you're looking to get the most out a Stage 2 then aftermarket cam, tuner and a good dyno tune is the route folks prefer

Well once warranty is up going to change from SE mufflers and head pipe and probably going with a Woods cam.SE is EPA compliant would like to get them most out of the stage2 if i am spending the cash but just my preference
