tuner question

As for your original map... its not needed. The tune provided with aftermarket tuners such as powervision or tts will overwrite whatever map is currently in your bike.

You can get a stock flash file from a fellow forum member if they have used a Powervision or TTS Mastertune I suppose. Presumably if they married their tuner to a same year, same model as yours, AND they are willing to send you their stock flash tune file.
in my case, I used the Andrews M8 460 cam in my bike and for warranty purposes and since I had dealer credits, the SE street tuner. I simply used the stage 2 torque cam flash file since the torque cam and the Andrews M8 460 cam are close in grind numbers.
By flashing with the SE street tuner, I overwrote the stock tune file (obviously). I autotuned as much as the street tuner will allow due to EPA oversight and HDs lawsuit settlement.
After warranty, I bought a powervision. The powervision married to my ECM, and used the street tuner flash (the only one in there obviously) as my “stock” tune file. Since I won’t be going back stock, it doesn’t really matter anyway. If I did want to, it would revert back to the street tuner file. If I really wanted a factory stock tune file, I’d seek out a fellow forum member who married a powervision to my same model year bike and see if they would email me the factory stock tune file they have. I can’t speak for VH fuelpak and the “must” have stock file requirement, but it’s a flash tuner as well, so it will save whatever file it sees in the ECM at the time of initial marrying. Thanks

Why do you need the stock flash file?? I went the same route.....stage 1 AC and SEPT tuner. put about 4000 miles on that before going to an aftermarket cam headers and PV tuner. Fuel Moto sent me the parts and tuner with a canned map, which was installed by my indy and flashed to the PV canned map, Ran great with no issues other than running a bit rich and losing a bit of fuel mileage. A full dyno a few months later took care of that. Or some smart tunes would have as well.

Are you asking if you should go back to the stock tune before you use another tuner like the PowerVision? If that's what you're trying to find out, I did the same thing as you.....I went with the stage I and the SE pro street tuner on my 19 FLHT, a few months later I put an S&S 475 cam in and bought the PowerVision tuner and I just loaded the PowerVision tune right to my ECU that still had the SE tune on it and it worked just fine.
