Anyone tried to change plugs on a modern car V6. I’m not even sure mine has plugs.

I’ll be pulling the tank to run some wires. I’ve got 20,000 miles. While it’s off, I guess I’ll change out the plugs.

Yeah, not bad at all. I rate it a 2 beer procedure.

As I recall, my 67 Sunbeam Tiger had access holes in the firewall to get at the two rear plugs from inside the car. Did I bitch about it? hell no. Many folks will never get enough miles on their beloved Milwaukee Eight to change the plugs anyway. Lol

LOL I was just thinking about when I change all SIXTEEN plugs in my Ram's HEMI... Talk about a PITA to get to.

On these bikes, 4 bolts, a fuel line coupling, and two electrical connectors is not rocket science nor a headache.

Decided to knock out the 10K service at the same time that I was installing a few accessories. Pulled the tank to install the 10mm Phat Plug Wires and noticed the top rear plug hole was completely white. Pull the plug wire and found the spark plug was loose enough to be remove with only my fingers. Inspected the threads and everything looked ok, but decided to change them out anyway. Better safe than sorry!

i'm wondering if you had spark knocks (pinging when accelerating) with that?

Thanks Kai

This thread inspired me to check my plugs on my 19 Sport Glide. They were not finger loose, but they were not tight either. The right side plugs were more loose than the left side plugs.

An added note...you do not need to take the tank off for the Sport Glide or the Street Bob.

Good deal, and no chance of ruining the O-ring. LMAO
