GTS radio arrived for GT swap but USB cable delayed

Sven, as you know you tired removing the Soundz Module that is used with your 76000829 and in doing so the radio display gives you a not compatible message. I think you already know the answer.

My new USB cable is scheduled to arrive today. I should be able to start the swap out later this week but then I'll need to schedule an appointment with the dealer for the flash mating to the bike. Maybe sometime next week.

Today’s findings with the new GTS.
installed the GTS in my ‘17 CVO SG, used existing cable, and existing XM module.
Booted radio and the boot up screen even showed CVO, which surprised me, using Diag4Bike set geographic location to N America, enabled the WHIM, enabled all the necessary functions and viola, Car Play works, Siri works, Sirius XM works.
I learned that the only difference in the newer part number for the USB cable could be and most likely, a supply vendor change and HD will identify that with either a new part number or a revision letter.
Here to tell you the cable and the Sirius/XM module work fine.....
what HD dealer can’t do using DigiTech, as in making CarPlay work w/o the actual WHIM and all, Diag4Bike can.

Congrats and thanks. Missed that somehow.

This happened on the first day. The software patch to make it work on older bike failed and it reverted back to the 2019-2020 part number when scanned. They could not get it to work and got another one, installed it on a 2020 bike, updated it took it off and put in in my bike and I'm back in business.

If you ask me, they never did one, totally clueless and now they played and figured it out, now know how to do, yet sharing with you "we had to do it this way first to make it work"....
