I think the price point is important here it is on sale now not later, $300 off plus no need for the Soundz harness @ $450 that's $750 in savings (for those that can't do the math) Soundz made a killing on these harnesses and lots of people paid what would have been originally full cost of converting. $2300.

Does anybody know if the new Infotainment GTS unit is capable of having the Auxiliary 3 input enabled with the Digital Tech, like the old Infotainment GT was capable of, so that you could connect a Zumo to the input.

yes but the soundz adapter works for any gts radio. So you could pick up a take off gts for 5 or 6 hundred and then the adapter from soundz and still only be in for 1000.

Yes, the Aux 3.5mm input can be enabled with the BOOM GTS using Digital Tech just like the older GT BOOM system. If you look at the fitment for the Auxiliary 3.5mm input harness, it is compatible with the 2014-2020 BOOM Audio systems. https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...input-kit#tabs

The installation instructions still reference the need for DigitalTech to enable the Aux input.

"Have a Harley-Davidson dealer use DIGITAL TECHNICIAN II (Part Number:HD-48650) service tool to update the "Audio Inputs" to the desired setting:"

Good luck finding a 2019 or 2020 BOOM GTS take-off for $500 or 600. Most are priced well over $1000 and they aren't available too often. There's one listed on eBay right now and they want $1700. Harley is still listing the BOOM 6.5GTS as "On Sale" at $1520 and the BOOM 6.5GT $1360. I guess the "sale" wasn't just for Black Friday.

It no longer makes sense to buy an older take-off GTS that won't be retro capable (unless you are just replacing one in a 2019 or 2020 bike).

In case anyone is interested I own a 2019 Roadglide. I had the dealer use the digital tech and turn off the mic and reflash the radio, no WHIM required. This allows me to use Apple Car play with my radio. Now I can not answer a call or speak voice texts but that was not my intention. I wanted to play all my music options and use google and waze maps.

I assume the sound quality would be the same as my stock 2017 BOOM even with the new head?

No, I wanted to move the XM module from my '14 GT to my '19 GTS and they are not compatible. I had to buy a new one. I ended up moving the '14 one to my wife's '14.

Trust me. They'll be around in the coming months and for much cheaper than 1000. I hang out on the audio side and guys are always dumping stock hus in lieu of aftermarket radios. Now with the sony 7000 out, there will be more.
