you’ll get an increase in both power and torque with your stage 3 compared to stage 2....bigger engine displacement and a cam that will suit. That’s why people do it after all....

But to clarify....at stage 2, you get a choice of cam....power or torque. At stage 3, with the genuine setup, you get no choice.....but the cam they use will provide a big lift in both power and torque, better than either stage 2 cam

You are welcome brother......can’t recommend enough though to get the dealer to put in the new 8 lobe pump.....I’ve done mine. The kit for the pump is part number 6240024.....

You are right on, Stage 2 offers two different cams as stage 3 comes with I believe tha 498 only. and agree. If yours id 2017 road king have them change oil pump. Tech center im Milwaukee did my stage 3 and left original oil pump. Had dealer change cam this summer and lucky for me they noticed it and no labor charge since they were already in there.

Added the stage 3 kit at delivery, it's a good running motor.

Add the new pump when you're in there and you got a winner!

You can have the torque cam installed with a stage 3, a few had it done and have posted on here...

My question would be "why?" I had both the 107->114 stage 3 and a stock 114 bike with the S2 torque cam and the stage 3 made both more HP and torque then the 114S2 bike did, by a substantial margin. The S3 kit includes heavier valve springs to account for the higher lift of the S3 cam. Doesn't make sense to me why one would do that. Do you remember the logic behind why that was done?

the logic was they didn’t want to live at 6k rpm o make power and much preferred the low end torque if i remember correctly.
