Always recommend replacing lifters when doing a cam swap. We've been inside hundreds on M8 engines at our shop firsthand and commonly find excessive wear on the cam lobes and on the roller of the lifters on these engines. A couple years back we did the video below as a heads up >

What attraction do you have with that old oil pump that caused you to take that route, instead of upgrading to current production 8 lobe?

My stock lifters on my all SE stage 2 2017 Road Glide started making a racket at ~6k miles and were replaces under warranty. 3 out of 4 were bad, with loose rollers. Also, found out the hard way my stock 17 oil pump wasn't getting the job done either.
Highly recommend following Dynamick's advice.

Whenever I change a cam I always get the crappy HD lifters out. I’ve been using Fueling HP+ lifters on the last 4 cams I’ve changed, and only started on my S with the S&S tappet cuffs. When I put a better cam in my King next month, I plan on changing the oil pump, installing the primary vent and installing the cuffs as well.
