Default M8 Cam and Lifter Replacement

I have a 2018 with 11k miles. I'm going to replace the cam. should I also replace the roller lifters too. Inner bear will get replaced. Also going to stay with the stock oil pump.

Thanks.

if you are going to do it, do it right and do the whole cam chest. Very happy with my S&S 465c cam chest

Always recommend replacing lifters when doing a cam swap. We've been inside hundreds on M8 engines at our shop firsthand and commonly find excessive wear on the cam lobes and on the roller of the lifters on these engines. A couple years back we did the video below as a heads up >

Thanks.
What attraction do you have with that old oil pump that caused you to take that route, instead of upgrading to current production 8 lobe?

This is not the time to save pennies, while you are in there.

If I was doing that job I'd be installing S&S Premium lifters, tappet cuffs, and the latest oil pump

Absolutely!
My stock lifters on my all SE stage 2 2017 Road Glide started making a racket at ~6k miles and were replaces under warranty. 3 out of 4 were bad, with loose rollers. Also, found out the hard way my stock 17 oil pump wasn't getting the job done either.
Highly recommend following Dynamick's advice.

Whenever I change a cam I always get the crappy HD lifters out. I’ve been using Fueling HP+ lifters on the last 4 cams I’ve changed, and only started on my S with the S&S tappet cuffs. When I put a better cam in my King next month, I plan on changing the oil pump, installing the primary vent and installing the cuffs as well.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'll do the lifters and oil pump. Looking at the S&S 247.
