Anybody have the 2020 117 CVO? What is your opinion of it? I am not happy with the torque... I have a 2014 110 Ultra Limited with 160k on it... The 20 doesn't seem to have the torque I am used to... What can be done to help that that does not affect the warranty?

It should already feel a lot torquier that a stock 110 TC. If you want more and keep the warranty, a dealer installed stage 2 using the SE torque cam would be suggesred.

There is no SE stage 2 torque cam for 2018+ 117's. The stock cam is so close to the SE torque cam that it is not even offered, I have confirmed this with HD as well. The only SE cam available is the power cam and HD told me it may not be much of a bump with that cam. I went aftermarket in my 2019 cvo and it made a huge difference in power and sound.

Guess if he wants to keep warranty he's pretty well screwed then. Seems unusual though that the M8 wouldn't feel as torquey as a stock TC 110. Maybe he needs some more breakin miles?

Yes sir, very limited on options with a warranty friendly cam. Mine ran ok stock, tossed the cvo mufflers around couple hundred miles, sound was awful. I waited till 3,600 miles before the cam and now that I know the difference it made, I would have done it right out of the gate looking back.

interesting thing is they show the 117 makes peak torque of 125 at 3500 rpms..the 114 is 123 at 3000..really liking the usable powerband range of my 114

Its not a stock 110 inch motor in his 2014 Limited...it's a 110 inch KIT added to his 103 inch Stock motor...the 110 inch Kit is a different animal than the 110 CVO motor...more torque...

There is no Stock 110 TC motor in a 2014 Limited....only motor it came with was a twin-cooled 103 inch...

No experience with the 117 but I can tell you the wrong (open) mufflers on the 107 or 114 M8 sure kills the torque!

On my 107 and now my 114 I've tried a few different mufflers. They run and pull great with the stockers, stock CVO mufflers, and Street Cannons. Runs and pulls like crap with the 4.5" RCX mufflers. The M8 seems to prefer back pressure. That's using my seat of the pants dyno but it's very noticeable to me.

Good luck finding what you want!

Man, you aren't kidding! My buddy has the V&H X pipe and muffs on his 18 CVO RG w 117. He pulled ALL the packing, core, and baffle from both muffs.

My cammed 114 runs him down no problem, and we have done several slow roll starts, and I run away from him. His is in the shop right now getting a cam because of this, but I cannot convince him to deal with that exhaust!

I rode his bike for about 80 miles while we were up in Canada, and the drone and noise was nearly unbearable, stack that on top of the performance loss...
I can't convince him otherwise, though.

Agree with above. Just put 4" magnaflow knockouts on my 107 and.can notice torque loss compared to stock. I want my torque back but will have to love with until I can do my air cleaner, tune and possibly cam. Sounds better is the only noticed difference. Not just a problem with the m8 as my twin Cam had open short shots and I noticed a gain on low rpm torque when I added baffles
