mjwebb, Hey congrats on your three year anniversary. I have a 2018 in the Blue/Silver combination...love the King!! Any opinions on the "Lithium" battery, I'm looking for do you or did you notice the weight reduction?? Being under the seat and pretty much top heavy weight, I would think so, but would love to hear your opinion. CSM-H

PS: I've only got 13,800 hundred on mine, averaging about 7000 a year with four/five months in winter storage. Season cut short this year... All my years of jumping with "light weight" equipment in the Army came calling and just had a L Spine Laminectomy, L2-3-4-5.... Hopefully will rack up the miles next season!!

if I told you I noticed the weight savings it would be the same as me saying I could tell the difference with a 2 HP and 1 ft lb of torque power increase ! LOL..but less weight is better nonetheless no matter how you slice it..Long Live The Kings...hopefully anyway

I was on call at work so had to stay close to home while wife and friends rode to the coast..I was bored..Idle Time is the Devil's Workshop..I really enjoy my RK but couldn't help but take the new RGs for a spin..they go down the highway more comfortably for sure, just an easier more relaxing experience..but man, I sure like not having a bike payment along with the ESP which is paid for too..I should be smart and stay put

Congrats Webb.. Oct is the three year mark for me and I'm loving every minute with my King as well..
Just added the tour pack and it's made our rides even more enjoyable. Love the bike in every way.

yup, me too..just have to remind myself what an excellent bike I OWN..it does everything well and is tons of fun to ride anywhere..probably think differently if it was out of warranty and had spent too much time in the shop for repairs instead of out on the road, which neither is true so...

Nice to be able to strip the King down for some open air riding too.....I'd find it hard to be married to a fairing...cool as they are.

Yes the open air riding is nice for sure and was nice for me. Now tho, i have no interest pounding into the wind and getting pelted by bugs.

over the years now with back to back Road Kings each time I took the windscreen off less and less, and when I did I couldn't wait to put it back on.myself behaving like a sail just grew tiresome rather quickly
