the only models being shown early are the ones that don’t have any changes

That wasn't really the point. The point was that the S or special seems to be nothing more them the 114 engine....at least for the Fat Bob.

could be they’re adding the special to the name to differentiate from the 107 bikes from the 114 equipped bikes. Makes sense. They did that with the 48, when they made it a 1200 they added special to the name but not the Iron 1200 cuz the Iron already has the engine size in its name.

So essentially I already have an “almost S”

114 motor, improved suspension, quarter fairing, maybe not quite as blacked out, but that may come. Not sure if the inverted fork and/or dual discs would drive me to get one.

117 motor, maybe :-)

Yeah, after seeing the photos, my opinion may be changing. Just when I had mine where I wanted it. Whats wrong with me...?

Anyone interested in a 2019 Low Rider almost S? I'm sure I'll be looking at around 10k trade in on it. Ugh.

Wouldn't you basically be going through all that trouble for the inverted fork? Don't do it man. Your bike is awesome!

Yeah, I know. I was thinking about it. I have a mental problem where I see something and I get it in my head I want it, and all reason goes out the door. As you said, my bike is great - essentially all I had left on my list is blacking the trans cover, rocker covers and cam chest cover. Maybe the triples. I should leave well enough alone.

Uhhhhhhh, Mike, I hate to break it to you Brother, but don’t feel like the Lone Ranger. We almost all share that mental problem with you! I don’t need another Harley in the garage, but I have been itching for something a little closer to my HD roots in 1980.

Maybe you can wait a little and see what the parts cost to change the front end over might be, since you've already got everything else the way you want it.
