Don't like touring tank medallion...
The one thing I don't like about my Road King S is the tank medallion. (I blame the M8 ;-)
I knew when I bought it I'd end up changing it. I was thinking about a couple from the Rushmore models, but I think I decided on the classic bar and shield. I stuck one on with some tape to see how it looks, and I think its the one!
What do you think? (I photoshop'd out the original medallion)

Thanks gentlemen. The clincher was the GF saying she liked it!
I’ll fishline off the old ones and clean it up with 3m adhesive remover. I did this once before, and it was a major bitch getting off all the 3m VHB they use. I bought a 3m wheel you put in a drill that supposedly pulls off the tape w/o hurting the paint. However I’m a bit apprehensive about that, I may just take it slow and roll it off and rub my thumbs raw in the process lol.

This is exactly what I plan on doing, I love the classic bar and shield, especially on black bikes
Question for you, how do you plan to make sure both are aligned properly? I've never been very good at "eye balling" things like that, but I also haven't had much luck finding any sort of template to use either.

Follow up question, do those come with the 3m tape on the back already? I think I'll order those from Surdyke's website.

Me too, but it’s actually midnight blue :-)
