Thanks gentlemen. The clincher was the GF saying she liked it!
I’ll fishline off the old ones and clean it up with 3m adhesive remover. I did this once before, and it was a major bitch getting off all the 3m VHB they use. I bought a 3m wheel you put in a drill that supposedly pulls off the tape w/o hurting the paint. However I’m a bit apprehensive about that, I may just take it slow and roll it off and rub my thumbs raw in the process lol.

The 3M wheel works great, and won’t hurt your paint. I debadge every vehicle I purchase this way. Pop it in a drill about half speed in low gear with very little pressure.
It’ll take you longer to grab your drill and chuck it up than to remove the stickers.

I have some photos of the original models with the medallion, so I should be able to get it in the right position pretty easily. I'm going to use the existing badge as a horizontal guide - some painters tape to mark positions.
Probably won't do until the weekend, but I'll post when finished. Thanks.
