Default 14" road glide bars

So I've heard conflicting reports in the past. I have 12" KST bars on my RG currently and want to swap them out for chrome 14". I want to know if stock cables and lines will work with 14". I've heard both. That they will work with stock cables and lines, and I've heard they wont work.

As it is now, the clutch and brake lines I had to turn the elbows upside down, but there may be a bit more line under the speedo pack. Just cant remember.

Anyone have first hand knowledge of 14's working with stock lines and cables? Thanks!

I have 14 KST Straight Jackets. Didn't change anything but the bars.

Exactly what do you want to see? I can tell you they are run the same as the were stock. Did you cut the zip ties under the gauge cluster and pull the extra line up?

I did, but right now my clutch and brake likes are pretty tight and turned upside down where the elbows join the reservoirs. Your's is a 19. Maybe they made the lines a bit longer. Just trying to make sure I have all my bases covered. If I have to replace the clutch and brake lines, I may go to the steel braided lines.

I have Wild1 14" bars on my 17 RGU. It all hooked up and works fine, but if you're a perfectionist it probably could use a longer front brake line.

The RG and RGS may have different lines than a RGU so the point could be moot...

A friend of mine and myself put them on. Yes, stock lines/cables might be a bit different from RGS to Ultra or even 17 to 19 as you have Craig.

I guess I'll find out for sure when I do them lol Thanks!

I just put Factkry 47 bars on my cvo sg, they have a great step by step video, one section they show how to free up clutch and brake line to accommodate 14's, you may already know their trick but if not, here is the video, it's a street glide but I would assume freeing up the lines would be the same on a road glide.

OK Road Glides are WAY easier than that! Sheesh. Two screws to remove the speedometer housing and the riser is right there!. Thanks for the clip. Not sure anything they did to lengthen the cables apply to RGs. Possibly could do the clutch and brake hack though. I'll heck it out this weekend.

Also, did you have to remove the cable ends when you did yours? We didn't remove mine at all, though the throttle side was pretty tough getting all of them pulled through the bar.
