Default S&s 475c

Very pleased with the cam and power dual headers also added mk45’s and a pm max hp air cleaner. Came off the Dyno at 106/113. Really woke the 114 up. Used a tts master tune. Who needs a warranty!!

Who did your dyno? Seems a little low for a 114. I have the same cam and slip ons in my 107 and my dyno was actually a little better than yours tuned with the PV. 109/113.

I've heard the master tune is really hard to get dialed in though.

The dealership did it. They are the only ones around that have a Dyno that I know of. The tts was the tuner they recommended. I’m sure that they might be a little more on the table but I’m very pleased.

Why did you pick the 475 over the 465 cam? Just curious. So dealers are independently violating the EPA agreement by doing dynos and non street legal parts?

I was told that this would void my warranty up front. So I made the choice to proceed. My buddy has the 465 so to be honest I chose the 475 to be different from him.

I also have this cam in my cvo 117, very happy with it and has the best sound of any cam I've heard in the M8. 114hp 129tq

Either that cam is not a good match for the 114 or you should find a new tuner for your bike. I just installed TTS150 cam on my stage 1 114 and got 110.5 hp and 125.2 tq with the TTS mastertune.

I have the S&S 465C and have very similar numbers as you. Full stage 2.

My 475 made 110hp and 113tq in a 107 with a D&D, I think you’re about 10ft lbs shy of what you should really have.

Why is everyone so hung up on peak Hp and Torque numbers? Different dynos will show different numbers. Then take into account the same dyno will show different numbers for the same bike when temperature and humidity change. Different exhaust systems on the same bike will produce different torque curves and max numbers. The shape of the curve will show when the torque comes on and how far out in the rev range it holds that torque. That's a much better indicator of how the bike will perform on a daily basis on the street. Some 2 into 1 pipes will produce a few less max hp numbers but bring on torque and hp earlier and carry them on well past midrange then fall off after 5000 rpm. Many times a bike showing less max hp and tq will out perform the bike showing more! Are we building drag racers or street ridden bikes?

That S&S 475 cam is a good one in an M8 as are several others.
