Default Looking for a good torque cam for 124 kit

I have a Fuel Moto 124 kit with the Wood 408 cam and 64mm TB. It's a great cam but hits in higher revs than I normally ride in. Any of you guys with 124s have a good cam recommendation that hits early and crries to around 4500? TIA

Did you ask Fuel Moto that questoon? I think they would have a good recommendation.

Also, how about posting a dyno chart so we can see what the issue is.

Here is a link for a 128 so while not the exact same it should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Steve, is the stock air cleaner on that 2018 CVO a SE Ventilator?

It is the stock CVO filter. It is similar to what SE use to call the ventilator but it is smaller in size and the filter is tapered around the OD and shorter, instead of straight like the old SE Ventilator. Gives better leg clearance but it's not big on performance when you increase Engine size or run higher RPM's and we were going to do both, so I recommend the TTS200 camshaft due to those restrictions being placed. My dealer was happy and so was his customer with the outcome. I was really curious as to how it would run and knew the Torque would be fine but hoped it would make 1 hp/ cu in but was not sure it would. I tried to get him to change but he really likes the look of the stock bike and he said after he picked it up that it's just perfect for him as is and did not care if it was down on HP as it had more than enough for him now.

I found this chart on the FM website and it seems to replicate your build with the exception of the CNC porting on the manifold.

Does this chart look anything like yours, and you're looking for more torque at lower RPM?

For sure, you need to talk to Fuel Moto. They will probably recommend porting the heads and manifold and maybe even keeping the 408 cam or maybe trying the 22x cam.

Please keep us updated, I'm even curious what the 22x would look like in your build.

I think we really need to see your actual dyno chart -- I think people are getting a little incredulous that you don't have enough low end torque with your build. That is unless your tune isn't up to par.

My Numbers are very conservative on my 124 build which is very similar to yours and producing 125HP over 127 Torque with the 408. This cam pulls over 120 ft-lbs of from start to redline. Seeing a dyne sheet for your build would be useful.

I see you went with the ported heads and 64 mm TB so that in its self will raise were your power comes in by 2 to 400 rpms. I suggest either putting the stock TB back on or putting the woods x cam in that will drop your curv down but you will also loose top end power
.
