Default Pushing up stock Rk handle bars

I'm thinking about trying out pushing my stock Road king bars up before I buy a different set. There too low and far back for me. Has anyone done this on theirs?

I tried it on mine and it was worse. ended up moving them back to stock position. I think they have a weird wrist angle and are too narrow. Trying to decide on which bars to get. Apes or a beach bar style...

I rotated my RK bars as far back (towards the tank) as I could - they just clear the tank. Seems ok now but not ideal.

Thanks for the reply. The wrist angle is awful and I was curious if moving it up helped but I guess not. I guess I'll look around for some new handle bars.

Yeah, the Road King Special has a weird wrist angle on the stock bars. I bought one new in March and that's the first thing I did. I sat on it and positioned the bars
till it was comfy. Much better for me, I like them now. Probably moved them forward 3 to 4 inches. Saved me getting new ones.

Personal preference. Rolling them up was a must. I liked the wrist angle for the time i had them like that before I got taller bars. Free mod, why not try it?

The other problem I forgot to add was that after about 20 minutes of riding my right hand starts to go numb. I've never had that problem before with any of my previous bikes. Even on the other bike I ride my 98 lowrider with the factory buck horns my hands fine.
