I have a Road King standard. I put a 3 1/2" riser on mine, looks great and I ride very comfortable. Whole set up was about $105, risers, new cover plate, and cover for handle bars. Good luck, CSM-H

I pushed mine forward in line with forks as well. I hadn't thought about risers Can you provide more information and maybe some pics? Did you need to do anything with wires and lines?
Little update. I moved the bars up like DenisLM did inline with the forks. They feel better and my arms and wrists are in a straighter postion. Just need some better weather to try it out in the road. Thanks for the input guys.
mbco, using the "Fat Book", ordered the 3 1/2" straight risers ( $49) , a new "plate" ($50) to cover the area where the risers originate from and a new handle bar cover ($20). So closer to $120. Need no wire extensions, just cut the wire clips (zip ties). Took me about 1 1/2 hours and that was going slow!! Good luck, CSM-H

I'm looking for a vertical extension (rise) of about 1.5 to 3 inches, and would like to keep the tachometer and key cover and Road King Police badge where they are on the FLHP.
Ericson38, Not sure where those items are placed. I replaced the "cover" where the stock (very short riser is), mine is chrome. Put in three and 1/2 risers (1 1/2 will not work!!) Used a new cover clamp piece, you could probably use the sock one, not sure. Bars are a little back from vertical but about 3" higher. I like it!!

I tried it on mine and it was worse. ended up moving them back to stock position. I think they have a weird wrist angle and are too narrow. Trying to decide on which bars to get. Apes or a beach bar style...
I have the same issue with my '18. Too close in stock position and bad wrist angle when I moved them up. I ma 6'4" with a mustang super touring seat. What did you end up doing with your bars?
