Default Rinehart 4 slip ons

So I’m sure this has been asked but bear with me. I installed rinehart slip ons onto my 19 street glide on Saturday, let it cure for the full 24 and then took it out yesterday for a 2-3 hour ride. Noticed that the header was extremely hotter than usual, but it was 86 degrees and muggy out. Anyone have this issue from the rineharts alone or could it have just been the heat? I’ve been told so many times nothing else is needed with the slip ons from rinehart. Is this simply not the case?

Thanks all all in advance!

What do you mean by “let it cure” ? My M8 seems to run hotter than anything I had previously, replacing stock headers, re-tune helps, I added a fan assisted oil cooler for when I get stuck in traffic.
Cheers

Sorry about that; I had to let the apoxy cure for 24 hours, I used Permatex ultra copper, it seems to be running hotter than when the stock slip ons were on but this could just be because of the heat yesterday too.

I put those mufflers on my Flhrxs and I noticed less heat from the cat and engine and even less after I did the stage 1. Not a huge difference but it feels more like my evo now heat wise.

Thanks guys! Hoping it was just the headers from the heat and me noticing it more and not something that could potentially damage the engine, I may look into a cooler though!
