Haven't seen that spot but it looks like a genuine *** pucker. We have a SxS now.

You've probably been in Las Vegas a long time and seen the changes over the years. I was there over 20 years and had family there since WWII. Got fed up with the growth, retired and came to Cedar City. Still love LV but only come to see the kids...

Cedar is gorgeous in the summer, but a tad cold (for me) in the winter. I hope retirement is treating you as good as it's treating me. This is my second attempt at it, and I think I got it right this time, ha!

If anyone is curious, I now have 500 miles with the vent/fat-rod combo and no transfer. Happy, happy, happy..........

Good to hear that. Let me ask you a question, what rpm do you usually run at?
My dealership said to keep the rpm above 2750 or it's lugging, and causing the transfer. Personally I think rpm shouldn't make that difference, but I think it's a band-aid fix for them to keep from a big recall on transferring.

18 FLHTCU.

Using that logic, I would be in 5th gear at 70 mph on the Interstate. I will generally upshift anywhere between 2500 - 3500 depending on what gear I'm in. I don't think I've even hit 4 grand yet since the bike is still pretty new, only around 2500 miles total. I'm still getting used to it, but I can tell you the first time I rolled into it moderately hard in second gear it about stretched my arms. I'm coming off a 19 year old TC88, so it was quite an adjustment.

Your dealer may just be towing the party line, or full of beans. Either way, I don't buy it.

I just read the instructions for the vent kit. The hole is to be deburred on both sides. It would be interesting to witness how this is accomplished on the backside.
