Ok my bike is a 20 Fatboy, all cams tried with same build status 114 to 128 jim -max-cell custom matched/coated pistons,FM A heads 11.3 comp,SE64mmtb ported ward manifold,Thrashin 2-1 small dog ball baffle, comp ramp upgrade 2 tho run out cam side
other notes= i'm in UK, 1st cam done on super flow dyno (Dynojet convert numbers in that program),Techno research tune, other cams same Dynojet 250i dyno winpep8, PV, usual variables & skill of tuner guys maybe factors

Cam 1- Max-Cell 837B
Persuaded to go with this by a US friend, always seed to do the numbers
Received bike post build /tune numbers 156/154 =yep big numbers for a 128, fired bike up got that aggressive banging style cadence, on riding not clean lowdown need to clutch it, very sensitive on throttle wants to go, open it up pulls really hard but..... terrible vibes thro whole bike bars/seat/pegs not enjoyable, at idle can hear light comp knock , a drag cam ?
Thoughts cannot believe it,s coming out on my mechanical sympathy alone, gas milage range on refills 155/160 brim it.

Cam 2- Wood WM408
Obvious choice for my build with FM A heads
Relief ride ability back feels strong idles smoother,149/149 on 250i dyno still good numbers for a 128 pulls hard with out all the vibes still feel some as big cam ?, just around 30mph light clutching needed, lot of 20/30 speed limits here, got a bit tiresome ,maybe its the tune but thats what he could do? gas miles a small improvement.

Cam 3- SE517
Yes give this a try got a new one cheap ( cos everyone tosses them) dynoed by same guy as cam 2
144/145 surprised thought i'd do less , idles like cam 2 , but wow smooth off the clutch can cruise in 1 gear more at speed limits smoother than a stock 114, open it up pulls harder 3k up but it that smooth no vibes thro bike all rev range ,throttle back to cruise 60 in 6th cadillac stroll/smooth (my words lol) hard to believe same bike from cam 1, yeah i love it now
other shock was @ gas fill 200 mile range, ride ability now makes up for any reduced numbers on a chart

conclusion - well i;ve payed to learn what i like, maybe some cams tune easy others will not, i can post my charts 90% will pick Cam 1
Got a FXDR 114 done stg2 CR485 chose that cam because of comments of how smooth it runs compared to others they tuned, & yes it.s great just on a map not been to dyno yet for a finesse .

Just throwing this up for those interested in cams from George Bryce. These are two 117” low riders tuned by the same tuner. One is a Star Racing 30-30 with a thunderheader. The other is a Star Racing F35A with a thunderheader and 5.5gps injectors.

i have been debating...Cam or full build.

i really like the idea of smaller CUIN..(117 in my case), good springs and a larger side cam. i would like to see what the stock port headed 117 has in it.

Probably somewhere in the 140ish horsepower range. 117 is plenty of CI.
heads are where things start getting expensive

Default 124 Fuel Moto buildHere’s what I got in the engine build……2017 SG 107 ..Put in a FM 124 kit with a 22xe cam, adjustable pushrods ,Dyno jet vision-tuner,S&S 55 manifold with a Jack Pot RTX Riot 2/1 exhaust,.5.5 injectors. No head work done.Had her on the dyno got these numbers 122 HP 142 Torque .Bought all the parts from Fuel Moto hard to beat their customer service.I have not had her on the road yet waiting for one more rain to wash the last of the salt off the Michigan roads.

Opinions from 99 % of this board that know more than me I am running a screaming eagle ventilator filter is that good enough for my air flow or should I get the extreme ventilator which would let more air in.Last question if I do get it would I have to go through the hassle of the dyno again .Appreciate your knowledge.

I'd try this larger filter for the ventilator- https://www.fuelmotousa.com/i-238999...2%7C%7Cmake%3D
