Twig, No doubt Stonecold’s advice is good. That said you likely did the stage 3 for the same reason I did which is to make good all around power and retain warranty. Air cleaner, pipe, even intake can all make a difference in what the stage 3 can provide.

Mine made 116 HP posted above which is in the neighborhood of many aftermarket cams. After two years I may move to an aftermarket tuner for a couple benefits plus perhaps pull a little more out of it without even making a cam change.

Just got this Dyno sheet from my mechanic. I swapped out the HD torque cam I had installed last year for an S&S 475 and had a proper tune. 122tq/118 hp out of a 107. ( Pro-pipe, HD A/C, power vision tuner)

Default Clutch slip

Hey guys I have a question about clutch slip as it relates to this graph. this build has been a bit of a mess so saying that please be kind lol.
specs as designed

2018 fxbb
S&s 124 m8
darkhourse crank w/. balancers removed
Ward +2 heads
Hpi intake
64 Tb ported manifold
6.2 injectors
2-1 pipe
10disk clutch w 1275n springs

Tried using a redshift 552 cam (blue line) but the Ccp was around 258. We decided that was ok and that it was most likely a wet ck because of the oil used to lubricate the cylinders during assembly.

so run some numbers puts us at 12:1 ish
on the dyno it really didn’t like the pressures had detonation issues and had to pull quite a bit of timing. (Found out later that the knock sensors came loose and were rattling around) so decided to wet ck the heads they came out to about 82- 83cc. Also the bike had a nasty layer of burnt oil and fuel on the pistons that was cleaned off. Deck heights were about .008. So we swapped cams to a diff 550 cam

Switch to a cam with a 48* abdc close and came down to about 218ccp. So now looks like we are closer to 11.5 possibly a little low for the new cam. But Bike starts and runs smother I know they all can’t be monsters. it really seems it should have made more on the top end with the heads it has and the bigger cam. this graph is just out of controlThe tuner was scratching his head trying to work on smoothing the graph. Could it be clutch slip?
Thanks

Congrats on the numbers, very impressive. Specially with a 107. Your tuner has your 475 coming on real early, more like a 465. Your torque line is starting to fall when my 114, 475 is really starting to climb.

I'm by no means an expert but softails are tough to get the right pipe from what i've seen & with those big valve ward heads!
Jason Broski would be the guy to ask advice, does a lot of Ward head builds runs them down the strip too, can find him on (search) FB "addicted to baggers & horsepower" also posts on HTT, posts monster motors

124" Ward +1 heads flat tops 11.8 comp SE64 ward manifold, Burns 2-1

yes, I really like how the torque is always at or near the top through most of my throttle range. I am hardly ever stay in the 4500+ range for very long. It’s nice to roll on the throttle and not have to downshift.
