Thumbs up 2019 Infotainment, better or is it just me ?

I finally got Ole Gray out for a spin the other day and went through the ring sealing process as I do with all my new scoots and noticed that the radio sounds a bit better than my 14 did. Seems more crisp and can carry more bass than my 14 would. I had installed some hogtune speakers in the front of my 14 and they sounded real good but as of now I'm really satisfied with the quality of sound I'm hearing on the new system.
So has anyone else noticed a difference as I have or not ?

I was at a dealership and the salesman gave me a demo of the 6.5 boom entertainment compared to the older system. it is better in function, but not sound IMO. It loads up the maps a LOT faster. Its more inline with the indian infotainment system which is a lot better. I have an amp in my saddle bags, upgraded front speakers and 6x9 speakers in my saddle bag lids on an older 4.5 boom entertainment, so sound for me is definitely not an issue.

I went from a 2017 SGS with 2 speaker set up to 2019 cvo sg with 6 speaker, 3 amp 900 watt so I cant compare sound but I can say the GTS is much much better in terms of usability and layout.

It’s faster and the screen is better. On the negative, it will not play any iPods except the newest Touch.

My '17 sounds fairly good when the bike is off but once the motor is cranked it sounds like ****. I have a $10 clock radio for an alarm and it has better sound

Definitely boots faster.

Seems to respond faster when navigating through menus.

Screen appears to be higher resolution. Definitely more clear.

Sounds the same as the GT 6.5 and 4.3 to me. No great but I knew that when I bought it.

Haven't had it long to see if the screen will hold up over time with use.

I loaded up a 256gb thumbdrive with 7000+ songs and it loads and plays just fine. Takes about 60 seconds to index when you start the bike. I know 7000+ is overkill.. just want to try it out.

I think the screen is easer to see when the sun is behind you shining on the screen. Much better screen resolution. Boots much faster, nav comes up much faster. With the Ride planner app, much easier to load routes. Still has bugs in software.

Sound is the same.

The system is faster, and the interface is improved, but the sound is worse. I went from an ‘18 Limited to a ‘19 Limited, and the radio is noticeably worse in reception and is crackly. I have tried swapping antennas, cleaning and dielectric greasing connections to no avail. My next step is to remove the fairing and unplug the antenna and use a test antenna and see if reception improves at all. There is a signal strength readout in the service menu, so that might help quantify reception. It’s too cold here right now to be messing around with plastic parts, so I’ll have to wait a bit.

How is the FM reception on other people’s Boom GTS units?
