The stock bar is black. Curious as well! I would have kept mine on if that was the case.

Now that I think of it, there are two fasteners for the fairing that cannot be used without a bar or with the standard engine guard,

Hey man, how is the chopped engine guard working out? Highway pegs fitment good? Can you rest your leg on top of the guard on lone rides?

I really like the chopped guard. The pegs are set at a height that I can slide my feet forwards on the boards and have part on the peg and boards. When I want to stretch a bit more I fully put my feet on the pegs. To answer your last question, I can and do put my feet on top of the guard/peg for a full stretch.

Super! I’ve got the chopped guard ordered for my RGS. I’m looking forward to stretching out.
