Did you guys have to end up purchasing anything else required to mount the fairing? I saw somewhere else someone needing to do that. Just want to be prepared when it comes time to install.

Thanks!

You have to have the chopped engine guard. Other than that, nope.

Looks like your German buddy here, alexobelix, doesn't have any kind of an engine guard. Pretty clean look. I personally don't like the forward pegs for comfort, I much prefer foot boards, but the look is good.

Just noticed that. Does look pretty good. And I agree about liking footboards better.

Well I´m 6 foot 7" tall, with 36" Inseam. I could not get any comfortable position with the floor boards. I also had a try on another FLH that had longer Levers and moved boards (mounting brackets from tall boy cycles), but still it wasn`t what I wanted. I had forward footpegs on may Dyna Fat Bob (+3" extensions from Kuryakyn) for several years and I liked it a lot. So I changed that on my RG. But therefore I had do remove the engine guard...

The Fairing Spoiler does not work with the OEM-guard also. Either you buy a chopped guard or go without one. The Spoiler is pretty solid, so i think the designated fixture on the chopped guard with provided mounting bracket is not necessary.

Did any of you notice if it stopped some of the wind coming up? Reduce buffeting at all?
