Installing Road king bars on a RG
The RK bars are 1" and the RG are 1 1/4", so I was wondering should the wires be inside the bars? Any tips on removing the wires from the connectors. Any other tips and tricks would be great! Thanks, Dave.

You'll need different clamps as the RG bars are 1 1/4 where they clamp onto the trees, why not just get bars made for a RG.

Yes, you'll want to run the canbus wires through the bars. Make sure your new bars have the holes required to do that.
I picked up an OEM 1" clamp off ebay for 22 bucks.

As was asked earlier, why not get the bars for your bike? Will make it easier to run the wires through

I liked the RK bars on my old RK. I thought it would be a easy swap. Wires for the throttle thru the bars no doubt. Other wires from switch pack can be on outside. I thought the bar clamps were 1" on the RG...

Better check your hydraulics' clamps. The taper at the end of the bars is different between the RK and RG bars and require different clamps.
