FXR Division Road Glide Bars
#71
Just to give an idea of how the bars looks with someone on the bike. I am happy with them so far.
12" FXR Division bars. I am 5' 10" and have longer arms.
My Mustang seat raises me up about an 1 1/2" and forward about an 1 1/2".

Digging the bars... but looks like it would be a great setup with mid controls and not forward controls. Pretty comfortable with your feet on the boards?

I gotcha... I thought you were referring to the reach to the bars whether your arms were stretched straight or at a slight bend. I'll be curios where you come in at with the 12" bars. I'm on the fence between the two. I sit on my bike and try to pretend my hands are level with my shoulders and slightly below. Hard to get a feel for comfort when your arms are extended in the air not holding on to anything. If it's not too much to ask please post some pics with you holding on to the 10" bars and the 12" bars. It would be nice to see the angle in the arms between the two.
The first two pics show the view I have over the 10" and my arm position, I have my foot on the boards the same side of the pic.

The 10" bars have moved on and I'm sticking with the the 12". Keep in mind that my seat sits me about an inch lower and back compared to the stock RGS seat and above you can see the position with a seat that sits you up and closer than stock.

I would always recommend doing the seat first as that will change how bars fit/feel for you, if you plan to do both. A 12" bar may be great with a stock seat than may be too tall or too far forward with a low pro seat and reverse with low pro seat and 10" bars. Just my opinion.

I re adjusted my bars yesterday (pulled them toward me about an inch) and they are perfect now. I originally adjusted them with the stock seat and since getting the Saddlemen seat they were kind of a stretch for me. I could really tell a difference in the bikes handling once I got the bars in the "sweet spot".
