Default Ultra Limited Rear Suspension Settings

What setting do you use for your weight and comfort?

Wife and I are about 350 lbs combined and have the rear suspension set to 11 on our 2017 Ultra Limited. It's not very compliant over sharp bumps in the road. Using the factory suggested setting feels like the rear suspension of made of concrete. What have you found works best for you?

Thanks..

FWIW tha manual for my 2017 Road King says to max out the preload ( I think 25 was the number) with me and my wife on board. Combined weight is less than you two. I tried it and it was locked up solid..I think the problem is, they refer to the number on the scale and they really mean turns of prelaod on the ****.
I run at 4 solo, 8 with the wife ( on the scale) so 8 turns solo,16 two up.

The manual says "Full Turns Of The ****", which correlates to the scale on my adjuster.

11 doesn't sound right - I think I'm at 20 for 2-up. I don't have the bike with me today so I can't check but it's in the owner's manual.

You just have to try different settings I think that I went to 1 1/2 turns less than the manual setting to soften the ride

We're about 325 two up. Used to increase the pre-load to 8 when 2-up. Wife not so happy. Now I just leave it at the 1-up setting of 4 or 5. Wife much happier.
