Due to the fact that friction zone has moved closer to the grip, the initial pull will be lighter, the thicker spring seat loads the damper spring more which counters the plate pressure but once out of the friction zone the pull will be the same. It may feel lighter due to fact that the friction zone brings the lever closer to the grip where your hand has better leverage.

BTW I like the fix.. May try try it also as I don't care for the clutch in the current configuration.. While some claim it's the hydraulic actuation, the friction zone is too narrow IMO.

Agreed. My new spring is ordered. It’ll be interesting to see how it works with the modified clutch lever.

I never understood the feedback issue. And the friction zone has been fine on my bike. The heavy pull can get tiring after a while. I'm more bummed about the slipper part of the clutch being completely non functioning. I could have used the slipper clutch last Friday on the Talimena Drive.

I finally felt the click in the clutch - but I had to try. The reason I don't feel it is because when pulling the clutch in, I hit the grip with the lever at the same time I shift. In order to feel the feedback, I had to pause after pulling the clutch lever, then shift. I also noticed that the clutch doesn't engage quickly. I'd have never noticed these things if people hadn't pointed them out. And I'll just go back to riding the way I do and forget out about these.

What have the results of changing the damper been so far. Seams like a great idea for a clutch pull problem. I have tried the adj lever and the bent lever but would like a better solution.

All,
Take in mind, it's not the "Spring" that changed but the "Seat". The graphics above highlighted in Yellow is actually the "Spring" (Item 10) but you should actually be buying item 11 as pictured.
I'm sure it was an honest mistake made on the brief. Again, you want the seat which is item 11. The part number for the Seat is correct though. P/N: 37000295.

Better pic below:

My opinion on making the change: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/milwa...-a-2017-a.html
