I used to ride BMW's with a similar feeling hydraulic clutch. I prefer the cable clutch, but "that was then and this is now".

I use the soft brake clutch lever on my 17 RG and am considering installing the AIM gclutch spring for a manageable lever pull and hold.

My 16 BMA 1200 GSA clutch is super easy to pull and hold.
IMO- it’s something I think HD should have done this

For those of you interested, the clutch damper spring in the 19’s was changed and allows for a lighter pull and engagement slightly closer to the grip. My new spring has already been ordered ($12).

Whoa....thanks for the information! This is the power of the 'net! Did not hear ANYWHERE that this was changed for '19.

I felt .like T forgot how to ride. the difference between a 2007 2017 was like night and day. Between the fly by wire throtle and hyd clutch was hard to get use too. Now I have it figured out the clutch [QUOTE]engages just about all the way out . just a slight pull is all I need.

I doubt that it lightens the pull but it will likely widen the friction zone. The wider friction zone will make the clutch engage sooner. Good to know.

The ‘19 I rode had a noticeably lighter pull.
