I would think you would be able to trick it to think there is a mic, but the easiest thing to do would be strip down a cheap head set, turn down/mute the mic and leave it under the fairing so you don't have to run the harness.
The thing I don't understand is why you wouldn't want to be able to use the mic in the first pace. The voice command is awesome. I guess if I just rode my bike around the block I wouldn't need it.

About 90% of my riding is touring, not around the block.

Checked my 'Trip Summary' screen yesterday after doing a trip via the nav and my mpg was over 1200 !
I know that if you start a trip and then fill up part way through it screw the mpg figure as it checks how much fuel you started and ended with and thinks the difference is how much fuel you used, it does not take into account you might have filled up 1,2 or 3 times!
However, in my example yesterday I had not refilled and should have given a true reading, I was interested as I had been doing some spirited riding, 80-90 mph on the highway and wondered what figure would have been returned. My 114 with 3500 miles normally gives about 45mpg with normal riding.
HD really need to have another look at the software as the trip summary screen is absolutely worthless, the only thing it gets correct is the start and finish date/time !

The whole informantuon section needs needs to be reviewed. And made better. At least more useful anyway.

I have the WHIM and use Apple Car Play. Sometimes I want to use my half helmet and listen to my iTunes music through the fairing speakers. To do this, I just start the bike, turn on the Harley branded 20S and wait for CarPlay to connect to my iPhone. After that, I just put the 20S in my fairing pouch and change the audio output on the GTS from headset to external speakers. Works like a champ. I don’t have a mic connected when doing it this way. Granted, I’m not using Siri with my half helmet either, so I don’t have any voice commands, but everything else works (Apple maps, music, text read back).
