Default rinehart 4in vs 45s

hi guys, anyone have any first hand knowledge of these two compared with each other? I have 45s with stage 2 and the slimline headers. I might be old but their a bit on the loud side for me when always going thru the gears around town and stuff. fine when cruising. I would like to stay with the rineharts. are the 4in a little less easier on the ears? I know everyone says rineharts aren't that loud but the 45s with slimline headers are for me. thanks.

I have a 2017 RKS with Rinehart 4" pipes / Slimline Duals / SE Venitilator A/C and Powervision Tune.

I am getting ready to add a 468 Redshift Cam to my bike for a little more torque / a little more grunt and a little more lope at Idle.

I do not find my set up loud in the least.. I have heard a couple of Stock M8's with just Rinehart Moto 45's but not with slimline and stage 2 cam so not sure how your set up sounds.. But to me most M8's are quiet even with cats removed until you add a cam.

My understanding is the 4" will actually be a little louder where as the 4.5's will have a little bit deeper tone.

I'm not old at 37 , but certainly not young either. While I do want a little more sound I don't want over the top , however I do want to be heard.. Mostly for safety, but hey it does sound cool too.

I hope you find what you are looking for.. but scaling down from a 4.5 to 4 I don't think will do you any favors... maybe find a different set of pipes with silencers or reduced sound baffles.

ALSO.. mind posting a video clip of your setup ?

I have Rinehart 45s with stock headers and stage III. It has a deep tone but not obnoxiously loud. My dealer told me the 4" were louder and the 4.5s were deeper.

You can always create an account and upload them to youtube and post the link here or create a photobucket account (free) upload there and them copy and paste onto here.

takes a few minutes, but nothing too challenging.

In all seriousness, 48 is a tough age. You think your old because you're about 4 years past the turning point and your body is starting to feel tired. Problem is, you're actually very young still have a lot to learn even though you're set in your ways but you haven't the slightest clue what's about to hit. Save this thread and get back to me in 5 more years. I'm 53, I was 48 yesterday and in terms of living life the way I want, it's just starting to get good. My body however doesn't like me acting like I'm 25.

Have a great day.

I have the 4.5's. Nice deep note and not too loud, at least for me. I think you lose a little torque with the 4.5's as compared to the 4's, but I love my setup and am fine minus a few pounds of tq. You can see my full spec's in my sig, and there is also a link to a short video if you want to hear it.
