21" Wheel on Touring
#21
I did a 21 from sport chrome on my bike. I noticed at first getting it to turn took a smidge more effort than normal, I got used to it after about 5 minutes, and you lose some braking performance but I use my back brake a lot with the front brake to compensate for that. I lowered the front 1 inch with progressive springs and used screamin eagle fork oil. Honestly I think it rides better than stock. I’m using the American elite tires 130/60 21 on front, really like these tires. Abs works with the conversion bearings. Really happy with this setup. Lowering the bike down to where it’s sitting level makes the wheel look bigger, it fills that space under the fairing up. You don’t have to do it, a lot of people don’t, I just liked how it looked better. If you want it to ride really nice you could just put the taller ultra shocks on the back with a 21, stock front suspension and it would sit at the same ride height as an ultra I believe.
