Have them show you the bad seal before they remove it from your bike. If it's truly bad then a problem will be fixed. But more than likely it's the Harley smoke and mirrors game.

Good Luck!

Picked up the bike, they were pretty confident the main shaft seal was transferring oil into my primary and causing the low oil pressure code. Want me back in 500 miles to check. Will get that racked up this weekend and see how it goes. Took it on a 100 mi ride last night and ran great for what its worth.

There is NO WAY that seal would have caused your oil pressure problem. Find a different dealer.

They pulled the crank position sensor and said nothing came out, so at least not sumping when i brought it in. Could just be a bad sensor? Will see if it comes on. has twice in the last couple thousand miles.

Oil pressure sensor failures seem to be relatively common on these bikes, so that would be my bet.

My 2017 sumped sucking up 2 quarts of oil and holding it in a vacuum (cavitation) The oil pump was inadequate and pumped so hard it lost the ability to lift the oil and it got caught in the upper engine in a vacuum. When I would drive a few miles on interstate instead of curves the oil would return to the crankcase. When sumping overheated the engine, the transmission would get hot and then transfer transmission fluid into the Primary until the clutch didn’t disengage. I got the larger clutch pin or rod and solved the transfer problem. The sumping broke my crankshaft, so currently they are replacing the engine.

If yours sumped once, then it will do it again when the right circumstances occur. For mine the right circumstances were running on curvy mountain roads, low speed behind traffic, letting the engine brake on steep hills. I have a “Test Track” now from my house to Flatwoods WV that I can almost guarantee a sump, if the bike is liable to do it.

Enjoy your new Wing.

They make a automatic transmission for those too uncoordinated or too old to shift!

Either you're full of crap or really gullible to let a dealer hold your bike for 3 months for a engine repair!
