Recent 975 mile trip avg 43. First leg heavy head wind 35mpg sped 65-70. Leg 2 and 3 45 mpg speed 60-65. Leg 4 47mpg speed 60-65 lots of down hill. Leg 5&6 45mpg speed 65-70. Three other bikes on the ride. Stage one best mileage, stage 2,3&4 about the same. 3 tenths of a gallon was difference on most all fill ups. When I run freeway speeds 75-80 no wind 39-41. stage I bike got 38 in the wind 65-70. Trip was Idaho falls to lol pass, Missoula mt and home. No surprises wind huge toll, then speed determines the mpg out come. 2 tenths of a gallon is about 3 mpg difference.

I can’t keep off the throttle so hard to tell. Too much fun.
