Chrome is easier to take care of and clean than blacked out. Blacked out is a trend that sells bikes and more parts. If you buy a blacked out part it is more expensive than chrome but will scratch easier. Think about the blacked out tool sets, doesn't take much to scratch and mark them up but chrome doesn't show much and easily wiped down. I have a mix of both but through experience I find it easier to clean chrome and have never bought chrome polish.

It's just a troll post for you chrome guys that come to "blacked out" threads that like to talk trash about something you don't like. It's cool... I like chrome too.

It's just fun messing with people at times.

So yeah... Chrome is for morons.
Well most of us, some morons in your opinion, think trolls are A holes. These forums are about sharing information based often on experience. I merely posted about the durability of powder coat versus chrome in my experience. I guess I shouldn't have shared that with all the others who might be interested, because you choose to think I'm a moron. This forum isn't only about you, and no one wants your smart *** assessment of our intelligence. Maybe when you grow up you will understand that the OP asked a question of guys with various opinions to answer. If you don't have a motorcycle get a job when you graduate and buy one.

The Street Glide Special 115th Anniversary graphics are what sold me. They're "tattoo-inspired" which describes the design well, love how it's assymetrical!
