People say Harley’s are priced too high

I wonder if it was that, or a moment of clarity when they realized how much they actually agreed to pay for a motorcycle.,,,

Yep, cars were the things that gave me sticker shock so bad I almost passed out...lol. I hadn't even thought about buying another car since 1999 when my car was totaled in 2015 and I had to get something to drive. I had a $4300 insurance check and figured that would get me a pretty decent used car. I found out quickly that would get me a hell of a lot less than I thought.

[QUOTE=Magnut1;17127667]Here is why the price is so high in my opinion. I have a few friends that work union. One female in particular just started at $15.67 per hour. The other day, on a Sunday, her and another female on a different line were chatting that their lines have been down for 3 hours and they are sitting around making double time. Another lady I know, been there 9 years, would make triple time on holidays, her base pay was $22 per hour. So she was making $66 per hour, and bitching the whole time about the inefficiency of the team leaders and so forth. Why the F do we need to pay someone triple time to stand around and bitch, and the same ones will bitch because the new jeep they want is $50K. Stupid if you ask me.[/QUOT,,,,UNION jobs are excellent jobs!!! I have been a proud Union Member for 36 years. In my industry were there are non union shops the wages and benefits are terrible. The prices charged to the consumer are still the same. The only difference is ALL of the money goes to the owner.

True..
...for what you actually get, they're pretty overpriced.
OTOH, "The value of a thing is what it'll bring" - as Tom Shane the jewellery guy in Denver says in his commercials.
If ya want a Harley, ya gotta pay thru the nose for it, and then spend more to fix the design problems and replace the Chinese-made crap that gives trouble.
I did it, myself. Didn't much like it, but I wanted a Harley...

I have six Dodge Trucks. Never once replaced a ball joint. Never had anything done except for service. my 2002 has 300k on the clock. I'd drive it to Costa Rica without thinking twice.

Saw a dealer lot person filling up a new Ford Raptor. It had a price on it for $115K. MSRP of $85K, $15K in dealer installed accessories, $15K dealer market adjustment.
Who in the heck would use a $115K pickup truck for what a pick up truck is intended for? Probably the same people that buy fully loaded $100K+ Range Rovers that are never off the pavement. But, for those that want the ultimate macho pickup truck, they probably think it’s a great deal.
