I've been an HD rider since 1979 and the price is what it is. Wages go up, cost of goods go up, it is all relative to what you can afford. I am on my 10th HD since then and I don't have any issue with the price. I have other bikes that I owned, Triumphs, Hondas, Yamahas, but my preferred ride is an HD. I am from a generation that grew up with an emotional attachment to cars and motorcycles and I like that I can take my HD and change it any way that I want. I guess we all ride what we can afford....
Just my 2 cents...

I don't mind the entry price. But the buyer shouldn't have to upgrade all the features right off the bat...

A buddy of mine who's a salesman for H-D just sold a '18 CVO Road Glide. He told me that the dealership made $15k in profit on that sale.

The dealer I purchased it from offered a $99 winter storage deal. They sent a truck, washed it and inspected it, store it until April. Since I will be adding some goodies on it, I figured it was a pretty good deal. I do miss going out to the garage for a cold beer and looking at it. Spring is in the air though, so soon, very soon.

I cant get that kind of a deal on a Harley. I don’t think a motorcycle is worth as much as a 8,500 lb truck.
you must have the heaviest silverado 1500 in existence.

My 2012 crew cab only weighs 5600lbs...

Have you checked the cost of buying a Mustang recently? (The PLANE, not the car.) Outrageous!

I think ANY HD bike could be taken off the showroom floor with zero upgrade to any part and be ridden. But most dont, creature comforts and the want to personalize take over.

Inflation is a **** thats why the "cost" has risen.

But I'd say the actual value is even better than it once was, due to the fact of what technology they're putting on and in these bikes now. ABS brakes, digital dashes, emission systems (not a fan, but still,) better frame geometry, better suspension, and touch screens on some...
