Did you fly the president around, or work on the big bird?

There’s 2 economies,..Wall Street,..then the real economy...we don’t care about the stock price or what some analysts says, the average guy doesn’t give a flying F..how many on here own Harley Stock? Is Your Cup Half Empty or Half Full..
I’ll go out on a limb here, Harley Davidson will never fail..

3.5 years in HMX-1, all but about 6 months of that in the Cage, or Executive Flight Detachment as it more professionally known, all under Reagan then another 1.5 years in HMH-462

Plenty, when one blames the high cost of a product built/assembled by an educated, skilled workforce, one needs to look at their own education/skills.

And no, I'm not a pirate. I wear a full-face, and a Motoport all-kevlar riding suit. Wouldn't be caught dead in a half-helmet or bare-headed with a bandanna. And yes, I'm a happy owner of a Harley, and yes, it's an M8.

It’s always been that way. When I started riding back in 1976 it was that way. Me and my friends couldn’t afford a brand new anything, much less a brand new Harley. Even nice used Harleys were out of reach for us. Want to know why? Because Harleys hold their value better than Jap bikes do. My first bike was a used Yamaha 650. Not because I was a loyal Yamaha fan boy but because it was the nicest bike I could afford. Even a nice used Sportster was out of my price range and Harley didn’t make small bikes like the Yamaha 650. Now HD is trying to offer an affordable entry level street bike but nobody’s interested in buying one. I doubt very seriously if the street line will survive long term.
