Default Spark plug boot tool


Anyone using one of these for spark plug boot removal with tank off?

This is the tool supplied by the MoCo to the dealers. Its the one I use


Lisle 51750 Adjustable Spark Plug Wire Puller

My fingers have served me well to remove spark plug boots for over 50 years.

Me too but the two plug wires located under tank are recessed into the rocker cover and were pretty tough to pull straight out.

Gonna try Lisle Tool 51750 Adjustable Engine Spark Plug Wire Puller . I had a hard time pulling those off as well . Can they make it any harder to change plugs ?

how often u guys changing plugs on m8? how many miles, doesnt the book say 30k?

Put some silicone lubricant on there when you reassemble for easy removal next time. And anti seize on spark plug threads

Yes, its all in the angle,and they fit great down into the recess.
