Default Stage 1 and 3

I just picked up my new shift pegs from the dealer tonight. I had him build me a price sheet for adding a stage 1 with the full SE Exhaust and Stage 3. The labor was 21 hours for both. For those of you that have done this, is that about right? Seemed a little high to me. I know at a minimum I want stage 1. I am also inside of my 60 day window, so if I I go big, now would be the time. I definitely want to use SE parts to keep the warranty. Thoughts?

yikes, spendy spendy spendy..so about $2100 labor on top of parts;

$1300 SE Hi flow exhaust
muffler end caps and clamps ~$200
SE Tuner $300
SE AC $200
Stage 3 Kit $1600

~$3600 +$2100 = $5700

I would think at that point you'd want to keep it for many years so would be wise to buy an ESP ~$2000 so looking at a potential cost of ~$7700 unless I'm missing something. even if the labor is a few hundred too high man that's a ton of dough that goes bye bye for resale/trade in if you upgrade the bike down the road

guess how much power do you want or feel you need

guess you could just get an SE Stage 1 dyno tuned under warranty for ~$1500 and may just be happy..I sure am with mine...good luck, tough decisions

That's about spot on for the pricing. They are giving me 10% off on parts during the 60 day window. I got the 5 year ESP when I bought the bike. I plan on keeping it for a while. I am just curious if the labor time seems right. I may just do 1 and 2 torque. Undecided.

sounds like you have a sizeable budget to work with so lots of options..Stage 2 might be the sweet spot for performance, value and less intrusive..if you're set on the high flow exhaust you might just want to get the SE ATM with wide band 02's since the exhaust is tapped for them to forego dyno tuning

I have my King in the shop now for a Stage 3. $2620 out the door. Stage 1 was done. If you do get a Stage 3 I would highly recommend getting either the Heavy Breather or the Ventilator A/C with the build. My take is the SE A/C sucks the life from the build. I was charged 12 Hrs labor for the Stage 3 install with a 20/20 discount (Winter Rates in North Dakota).

I priced stage 3 and 4 with 2 different dealers. Normal price was 15hrs but if I do it before the end of February they will knock off 3hrs. They also offered 10% discount on parts but I’m wanting 20% discount. 21hrs labor sounds like way to much.

Well, I just dropped it off at the dealer. High flow SE exhaust, A/C that uses the stock cover, SE Pro tuner, ATM, and 2 piece slant tail caps. Quoted 7.5 hours. This should keep me amused for a while.

That’s a great start. I think you did your self a favor not doing the stage 3 upgrade. Good luck.
