Default M8 Primary How can I tell if is it wide or narrow?

Wife's new 18 Heritage 114. I'm doing the 1000 mile on it (I am done trusting the dealer). Table shows 'Wide Primary' or 'Narrow Primary' How can I tell? I do have a 2017 Roadie (which I am doing the 10k on at the same time), guess I could compare them, but it doesn't answer the question... Help please.
Thanks

I was under the impression that all M8's were narrow, but I know nothing about the Softails. I would try putting the recommended amount for a narrow in it and then check to see if it is at the bottom of the clutch. If not add what it takes to bring it up to what a wide takes.

I noticed the Heritage is definitely the 'Wide Primary' it is about an inch wider than the one on my Roadie.

Yours is narrow so if hers is the same so is hers but if it’s wider we’ll you know the answer.

The derby /primary cover for a narrow primary is larger it measures 8 inches. If it is smaller that 8 inches it is a wide one. 100% easy way to tell

If you don't know this, why do you think you would be better than a trained dealer tech at working on your bikes and blowing your two year Warranty to boot?

There is no risk of him blowing his factory warranty if he actually does the work.

That is correct, I checked and double checked. As it turns out, I might let them do the Heritage 114 as it has developed a oil leak. Still only has 600 miles, so we'll see what it does after they find the problem and fix it.

The right side saddlebag, and a few other areas from the engine rearward has about 30 oil stains, small like from a tiny droplet

The Fatboy and Breakout's have the wider 47400100 swingarm to cater for their wide tyres, which needs more of an offset on the Primary ...Wide

The Heritage has the 47400099 more narrow swingarm for lesser sized rubber ...Narrow
