Stage 2 is loosely know as Stage 1 (air filter & exhaust & fuel control) plus a cam. Your mileage and performance will really depend of what cam you install. Go with something mild and you may loose a bit, go with a big cam, your mileage could really drop. Depends on the tune as well.
I installed an Andrews 21 in my TC88, after I bought it with a Stage 1 and FuelPak. My two up mileage has not changed, my solo riding I lost a couple of MPG.
i just dropped off my 17 sgs for Rinehart slimline duals with 45 motopros, ventilator ac and power vision tune with the HD torque cam. cant wait to get it back but I'm in the north east. I was getting 220 -230 on a full tank I think before. well see now. hope it doesn't drop to much
I have about 10,000 miles on My stage 2 torque cam.Average 38-40 MPG.Hard to keep from hitting the throttle. The M8 is a joy to ride.Stage 2 makes it more fun.
I average between 40-42 with the torque cam and canned map from dyno jet (PV-2). I retained stock exhaust and intake, low end was the same and power to the right increased about 15% more. Almost no change from stock CVO 114" mileage.
No offense, but is a few miles per gallon going to scare you away from an upgrade you seem to want?
A few MPG doesn't bother me. As my initial post said, in my prior (bad) experience, I was told that the modification would not seriously hurt my range unless i used the extra power. Nonetheless, my MPG dropped from around 50 to 35.
So, I'm just trying to make an informed decision. Also, I ride about 20k miles per year and really like having some range. If it was just a bar hopper, I wouldn't care.
