Yes it does. No worries. Sorry to hear they denied yours.

I am looking for any warranties denied, but specifically because of non epa compliant reasons. So much talk here about the warranty and what it says and doesn't say, but most is speculation and conjecture. I want to know how many, if any were totally denied warranty repairs for this specific reason.

Not to ruin the thread but I kinda hope nobody posts anything. No trips to the dealer for warranty repairs is a good thing.

I'm quite interested to see if anyone has actually had warranty refused over exhaust.
There's a gal posting in here recently that had a blown motor denied over slip-on's, her & hubby where not happy campers.

I was waiting for one like this.
My son works in service at a dealership and we were talking about warranty issues. He said there are several things, but #1 was if it had a hitch = No Warranty.
We didn't specifically discuss tuners, I do know if they install it they stand by it, but those will be equipment HD supports and the Dyno is also involved.

Same thing happened to me when my 3 yo 2006 Streetglide ate the inner cam bearings. The extended warranty insurance company
rep took one look at my PC III and said "no way". Motor was junk inside and I ended up having a 103 built for $4250 out of my
pocket.

Or it could be that the dealership is full of used car salesman that just happen to be selling motorcycles now. Nah......a Harley salesman would NEVER lie to make a sale, right?

YMMV

I know of a few (as in more than a couple) HD dealers that have found out that many of the '17 and later bikes they sold have the powertrain warranty voided. Now mind you none of these bikes have ever come in for service or a failure of any kind! What was found out is that the MoCo is logging into the dealers records through the Talen system they use. If they find a non EPA approved part being sold to the owner of the bike the MoCo is flagging/voiding the powertrain warranty.

So if you think that the MoCo isn't serious about getting out of the warranty now, you are sadly mistaken!
