I have a 2018 Road Glide Special. Developed a terrible leak in the Rocker Box at 500 miles.
The Boom 2 audio speaker went out immediately after it was installed and had to be replaced.
The bike is currently back in the shop with leaking rocker boxes. This time it is worse. The bike still has less than 900 miles.
I'm going to see if they recommend the complete rocker box gasket set as mentioned by Brian McDonald.
I am very disappointed with my new Harley. I have a 41 FL, two 56 FL, and a 97 Road King. This is by far the most problematic bike I own and it leaks worse than any of my old bikes. At least the knucklehead and pans don't spray oil all over me when riding down the road.
We had a rocker box leak around 500 miles on our new 2018 FXBB street bob M8 107CI. We followed the recommended break-in instructions. But the leak continued past 1k dealer HD service. At 1400 miles finally HD replaced the complete rocker box gasket set. O rings. Gaskets. About $600+ job, mostly labor intensive. Completely covered under factory warranty. Cost us $0. No leaks since, dry as a bone. Common problem from what we hear. It leaked with conventional oil that came with bike. And Leaked with syn3 full syn before the fix.
What's with the pic of an SnS rocker box gasket / o ring set?
