On second look the concave bars are different. I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Please post a pic up here or the all things road king special thread I started some time back once you get your signature bars installed.

what is the difference in the signature and the Malo bars?

original reason I was going F47 Malo was the look and the 1.50 bars.plus F47 makes great quality bars.

still undecided. Just thought these were cool as they were different, comfortable and carlini makes a quality bar too.

so wanted to post pics up and get some input.

I'll post up a pic of a black RKS tomorrow with 12" Malo bars for comparison.

I'm having the bars done by Riverside HD along with the 5k service and a couple other things. They have scheduled delivery for Tues or Weds so I won't have my bike back for a few more days.

If I can figure out how to post a pic I will (I haven't done it in years and not on this forum).

From what I can tell the Malo and Signature bars look the same, the Signature has been modified to fit the new Road Glide, in fact I thought I was getting Malo bars until I read the Riverside HD invoice that stated they were Signatures. When the RHD parts guy held the bars on my bike while I test fit them, again I thought they were Malo bars (they look just like them).

BTW, my RK is the standard version, not the special, and I'm getting chrome bars, the polished steel hoses/cable and Performance Machine Contour grips with the chrome ends.

I think the Factory 47 would look good on your RK. Just me but them curved Carlinis would look better with a fairing in front of them.

Interesting Tid-bit I just got directly from Factory 47 regarding Signature v Malo bars:

"Thank you for contacting Factory 47 Cycles. The Signature bars will work on the 2017 Road King Special if the control clamps are changed to the Road Glide clamps. Or, the Malo bars will work if you change the riser clamp to accept the 1" diameter bar."

Regards,
Charles Villalobos
Dealer Specialist

I also called F47 and they confirmed the only difference is the diameter of the bars center under the clamps - apparently the Road Glide clamps require the larger center diameter Signature bar whereas the Malos are 1" center diameter and require a different riser clamp. They said Riverside HD has put Signature bars on an RK before saving the cost of a new riser clamp.

I spoke to Riverside HD and they said they have "millions" of Road Glide clamps and they just use those.

F47 said they would like some pics once mine is completed to advertise the Signature bars on RKs as another option.

Does anyone have a part # for 2017 Road Glide Control Clamps I could put on my RKS ??

I looked them up but couldn't find them.

wonder how much cheaper it would be to go this route.

The new Riser Clamp for the Malo bar is 100 bucks plus 50 to ship... so if there is a cheaper option I'm all in to go with the Signature Bars.

Thanks for the info @BikerPop1

I'm not sure if you've decided which bars to go with but, Im in the same boat as you. I had 14 inch Carlini Pist Apes on my old Breakout. Awesome bars. They had the curve going outwards like bikerpop1 wanted to see. Then I saw the Factory47 Malo bars and I couldn't decide between the 2. If I really had the money I'd go with the Burleigh 2 inch high ball bars. 2 inches in diameter, when I saw these I fell in love.

I like them. I think if I decided on the Carlini's, I'd give some thought to switching to a complimenting highway/crash bar too, so there's flow and symmetry. I'm thinking something like the below bar.
