I removed the CAT from my 14RK, its nice to have it gone but that isnt going to fix the felt heat issue as far as we experienced, it MAY help but not all that much.

Its a large engine and just like other bikes heat radiates from the exhaust pipes, you will find if you can alter the airflow it will make your wife more comfortable.

Some ways to do this are VERY simple.
1. If possible installing HD air deflectors on the forks made a big difference for my wife, much more then removing the CAT.
2. Mount foot pegs on the engine guards (just did this and not in the photo), she will notice when your on the highway nice cooler air hitting her once you put you feet up on the pegs. You yourself will feel a little more heat, same with the air deflectors.

Check your primary for too much oil. Some bikes have an oil migration problem. A quart of oil in 1000 miles is not normal.

I thought the transfer issue only involved the tranny and primary?
