If you want to complete the process and make sure that it doesn’t transfer, have him machine a couple grooves for O-rings in the clutch push rod and put O-rings on it. Then you have essentially made the primary and transmission two separate entities.
I think the problem with that idea is the primary is only vented thru the tranny. Block the path between the two and the primary will build pressure when it gets hot and blow one of several seal/gaskets.

Maybe you should read my post again. It starts off by venting the primary. The O-rings are just to assure there’s no transfer.

You are of course correct. Apparently alcohol does not increase reading comprehension. I zoned in on one aspect of you post without putting it all together.

If the primary is properly (independently) vented, is it even necessary to seal the pushrod?

I agree, I would think that if you want to test if it's a venting issue you would ONLY add a vent, sealing the PR as well as adding a vent wouldn't give you conclusive evidence of what the fix was. One test at a time for the best results.

Does the derby cover from a 2014 SGS fit a 17SGS. I have one on the shelf, a left over take off. Maybe I can drill it when I get home next week from traveling.
