Technically I'm guessing about the reason for pressurizing the tranny / pimary. It makes sense as to why they would try pressurizing.

well I checked it an it was within range for the tranny fluid level. soooo, I will ride it to work and see if I am still noticing the sluggish power. still gonna take it in just to check it. I have some Rinehart slip-on's. I am wondering if that's what I am noticing. oh well, ill let the dealer look into it.

Did a 3 hole change at 5k miles. Hit 10k miles and changed the motor oil again and checked the transmission dipstick and it barley registered any oil on it. Pulled derby cover while on the side stand and almost 16 ounces came out of the primary side!
Stopped at one of my local HD dealerships and was asked to make an appointment to pay to have them change all 3 holes again, ride 1000 miles and bring it back....PASS!
Stopped at another HD shop after I made sure all 3 holes were level and explained to them my dilemma and asked the to add UV leak detection oil to my transmission and they agreed. So I’ll ride and keep an eye on the transmission level.....stay tuned!
I think we all know what the out come will be!

even when you have the correct amount of fluid in the primary you shouldn’t open the derby cover with the bike on the jiffy stand. Period.

Have just over 400 miles on my 2017 FLTRU. Noticed it was getting harder to find neutral. Put a different derby cover on and noticed the primary fluid was almost all the way up to the lip of the cover. (on a lift) took out enough fluid to put it to the proper level. Put the bike on the jiffy sand to check the tranny and it wasn't even on the stick. Went up to the dealer to get some oil for the trans and asked two service guys and a parts guy if they had a fix yet for the oil migration on the M8 They all looked at me like I was nuts and said they never heard of the issue. WTF, I've been reading about it for a freaking year! I'll put the trans to the proper level and watch it. If it needs service I think I'll look at other dealers though.

Tell them to look up TA0022. Then they can’t say they’ve never heard of it.
